This is a professional position with the primary duties and responsibilities covering the administration, analysis, development and oversight of internal programs and processes to ensure compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) Reliability Standards, and Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) electric system operations standards, policies and procedures. This position will also provide technical assistance and support to Rochester Public Utilities’ (RPU) Subject Matter Experts in the development of their compliance processes and procedures.

Salary/Compensation: Starting salary range $73,204 to $86,122, depending on qualifications, with advancement to $107,654.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or business administration, or closely related field from an accredited four-year college or university; AND at least three (3) years of experience working in the electric utility industry assisting with NERC regulatory compliance. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:
-Risk analysis 
-NERC project management 
-NERC Standard audits process 
-Collecting data and reports for compliance monitoring and assessment 
-Assist in the preparation of self-reports and mitigation plans

Licenses, Certifications and Training
Valid driver’s license
